ORIGIN

From the Back of the Aircraft to the Front

Marrinan wanted to be a veterinarian, until Organic Chemistry got in the way. His backup plan was the Navy. Without a finished college degree, he enlisted as an aircrewman, his only aviation experience up to that point a handful of commercial flights.

He loved being part of a crew enough to go after the front seat. A few years flying in the back, and he headed to flight school.

THE DRAW

A Team Sport

Marrinan talks about flying in two parts: the view, and the people.

“Military flying is a ‘team sport’. I loved the people I flew with over the years.”

The part outsiders miss is the ground time. Good pilots spend more hours studying for the worst day than flying on a good one.

AT ASEC

Decisions Built on Facts

Marrinan says pilots bring a habit engineers can’t always fake: decisions built on facts, not instinct. When he first joined ASEC, that meant more than flying experience. He helped with test, training, and tactics development across several airplane programs.

CLOSING

Study Hard, Enjoy the Camaraderie

Marrinan wants ASEC’s customers to know exactly who they’re getting. Most of the company’s pilots and aircrew are weapons school graduates who think past the mission in front of them.

“Be prepared, study hard and enjoy the comradery.”
